Each year the featured service of the Stars and Stripes event alternates between the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, National Guard Bureau and is determined on a rotating basis.
The U.S. Coast Guard will be the featured service of the 2019 Stars and Stripes event.
Commitment to Building the STEM Pipeline
Through the college and pre-college programs, BEYA commits to foster STEM education. Our college program, in collaboration with CCG JobMatch, provides extensive pre-professional training to thousands of college students across the nation. Such topics discussed include writing resumes, interview skills, and landing the ideal job.
Our pre-college program brings top middle and high school students from across the greater DC area with the goal of nurturing interest in higher education in the STEM fields. Students participate in hands-on STEM activities and courses discussing college preparation.
