WOC STEMship

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about the WOC STEMship cruise experience.

What's included in the cruise package?

One cruise. Zero nickel-and-diming.
Your package includes five nights aboard Virgin Voyages, 20+ dining venues, WiFi, fitness classes, and entertainment — all wrapped into one smooth experience.

How do payment plans work?

Commit now. Pay over time.
A deposit secures your cabin, and flexible payment plans keep the rest smooth and stress-free until sailing day.

What is the Conference Registration Cost?
  • Two things. Two buckets. No confusion.

$350 Conference Registration covers the learning:

    • AI & Tech Leadership seminars
    • Pre-cruise online sessions
    • Onboard workshops
    • Optional AI Leadership Certification

Your cruise fare covers living your best life at sea:

    • Cabin accommodations
    • Dining at 20+ venues
    • WiFi, entertainment, fitness, gratuities, and more
    •
Can I sail without registering for the conference and is this IRS Tax Deductible?

Can I sail without registering for the conference?

Absolutely.
You’re welcome to book the cruise without registering for the STEMship conference.

Conference registration is only required if you want access to:

  • AI & Tech Leadership seminars
  • Pre-cruise online sessions
  • Onboard workshops
  • The AI Leadership Certification track

Want the cruise vibe only? Totally fine.
Want the full STEMship experience? That’s where registration comes in.

Is the conference tax deductible?

It can be — but let’s keep it honest and clean.

  • Conference registration fees may be tax deductible as a professional development or education expense.
  • Cruise fares are typically not tax deductible, since they cover travel and leisure components.

As always, we recommend checking with your tax advisor to see what applies to your specific situation.

Bottom line:
Cruise if you want.
Train if you want.
Or do both — and make it count.

Is there a brochure?

Of course there is — we wouldn’t leave you hanging.

You can flip through the WOC STEMship: AI & Tech Leadership Cruise brochure right here:
https://issuu.com/rjkennedy/docs/woc_stemship_ai_tech_leadership_cruise_2_

It’s packed with the details you want — the vibe, the vision, the learning experience, and what life looks like when AI training meets luxury at sea.

Take a look. You might start picturing yourself onboard.

Can men attend?

Yes. 100% yes. Full stop.

Despite the name WOC STEMship, this is not a “no boys allowed” cruise.

Men are absolutely welcome to attend, sail, learn, network, and participate fully in the AI & Tech Leadership programming. The experience is designed for all professionals who want to grow their AI skills, leadership capacity, and network — regardless of gender.

The name reflects the community that inspired the program.
The experience itself is inclusive by design.

If you’re ready to learn, lead, and level up at sea — you’re invited.

What Happens After I Hit “Submit”?

First things first — you did the right thing. Here’s what happens next (no mystery, no stress, no smoke signals).

🛎️ Step 1: We Hold Your Cabin (Like a Good Friend Would)

Once you submit the form, we place a 24-hour courtesy hold on the cabin category you selected (subject to availability).

Think of it as us saying:
👉 “Don’t worry, nobody’s taking your room while you grab your coffee.”

📧 Step 2: Virgin Voyages Slides Into Your Inbox

Virgin Voyages will email you directly with your official booking details.

🚨 Important:
There will be a booking number in that email.
Write it down. Screenshot it. Save it like it’s concert tickets from 1999.
You’ll need it.

🧑‍💻 Step 3: Create (or Log Into) Your Virgin Voyages Account

If you don’t already have a Virgin Voyages account, you’ll create one — quick and easy.

Inside your account, you can:

  • View and manage your booking
  • Change or upgrade your cabin (if available)
  • Make payments
  • Add fun stuff like Shore Things, Bar Tabs, and upgrades

Basically, this is mission control for your cruise 🚀

💳 Step 4: Payments Go Straight to Virgin (No Middlemen)

All cruise payments are made directly between you and Virgin Voyages.

Translation:

  • Secure
  • Transparent
  • You’re always in control

We don’t touch your money — we just make sure you’re in the right group and getting the good perks 😉

🎁 Step 5: We Add the Group Magic

Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll move your reservation into the official WOC STEMship group.

That’s when:

  • Group perks kick in
  • Eligible onboard credits are added
  • Group experiences unlock
  • You officially become part of the STEMship crew 🚢✨

The Bottom Line

You manage your booking. Virgin handles the payments. We handle the perks.

Teamwork makes the dream work 😎

Same mission.
Same credibility.
Just a lot more ocean.
